This week marks National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, a time to honor the work of the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley (ASCMV) in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The ASCMV is recognized for its commitment to providing safe shelter, essential care, and second chances for animals in the community.

The organization operates from a new facility that was opened last year as part of a General Obligation Bond project. This modern space has improved ASCMV's capacity to serve the community and create a welcoming environment for pets in need of permanent homes.
