**Juliana Garcia Named LCPS Student Athlete of the Week**

Juliana Garcia, an 11th-grade student at Centennial High School, has been recognized as the LCPS student athlete of the week. She maintains a 4.0 GPA while participating in the Poms team, specifically dancing for the Censations.

Juliana began dancing at the age of four and has dedicated herself to mastering her skills over the years. Her coach, Hendricks, described her as kind, caring, responsible, positive, and hard-working.

This recognition highlights her commitment both in academics and in her athletic pursuits at Centennial High School.

Las Cruces Tattoo Artist Arrested on Sexual Abuse Charges

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — A 42-year-old tattoo artist, Billy J. Porter, was arrested by New Mexico State Police on April 10, 2026, on four counts of criminal sexual penetration, one count of criminal sexual contact and one count of selling or giving alcohol to a minor after a 19-year-old customer alleged sexual abuse at Porter House Ink and Tattoo, and investigators executed a search warrant at the shop before Porter was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
