Geneva Begins Abandoned Gas Mains Removal
The Department of Development Services will remove abandoned gas mains under Castle Street between Brook Street and Maxwell Avenue in Geneva, NY. Work is scheduled to begin on August 4th and is expected to last approximately one week, subject to weather and unforeseen conditions.
During the work, east and westbound through-traffic on Castle Street will be closed between Brook Street and Maxwell Avenue. Drivers should refer to the detour map provided by the city for alternative routes. Parking restrictions may apply overnight and during construction hours.
This utility work is part of the city's ongoing efforts to maintain public safety. All schedules and work details remain subject to change.
