On November 17, 2025, around 11:00 a.m., New Mexico State Police officers in the Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Tactical Unit arrested 28-year-old Gabriel Henry Saavedra in Las Cruces. Saavedra, who is facing a nationwide extraditable warrant, was charged with first-degree kidnapping, battery against a household member, and criminal damage to property. He was also considered armed and dangerous and has a criminal history that includes aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Saavedra was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center without further incident. For more details on the investigation, the Las Cruces Police Department should be contacted.
