The Courts, Corrections, and Justice Committee visited Las Cruces on Thursday. During the meeting, Police Chief Jeremy Story and Sheriff Kim Stewart presented on local law enforcement perspectives. Nicole Martinez, a representative from the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope, discussed housing and public safety solutions. This visit provided an opportunity for local officials to share their insights with the committee. The event was supported by Nancy McNair, Legislative Counsel, and Cathy Chasey, Majority Floor Leader for District 18.
