John Lewis Film Screening and Discussion Event

The Las Cruces Public Libraries in Las Cruces, NM, is hosting a special event featuring a viewing and discussion of the 2020 film "John Lewis: The Last Interview." The event will take place on Saturday, October 19th, starting at 1 PM at the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library.
The film explores the life and work of Georgia representative John Lewis, highlighting over 60 years of his activism and legislative contributions in areas such as civil rights, voting rights, gun control, health care reform, and immigration.
This event is organized in partnership with New Mexico State University’s Black Student Association (BSA) and the Black Programs within the Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity. Attendance is open to individuals of all ages.
